A bit about us here at Maple House

Guests enjoy staying here at Maple House as it is a quiet and peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of life, but is also conveniently located a short walking distance from the lively town centre.

Hay on Wye is the ideal place to while away a few hours sampling the coffee shops, browsing in the bookshops, or exploring the characterful and quirky boutique style shops.

Hay on Wye sits in an area of outstanding beauty, close to Offa’s Dyke Path and the Wye Valley Walk and conveniently situated for exploring both the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons National Park. The Hay festival site is a pleasant 10 minute walk, as is the beautiful Warren, accessed via a picturesque path by the river.

The house has a private front garden available for guest use, where you can listen to the birds singing in the hedge or the sheep across the valley on a summer’s evening. If you are lucky you can also spot red kites on their daily prowl for prey or just relax in the sunshine with a cold drink.

There is guest parking for 3 cars (reserve on booking) and more available on the main road (non-metered).
