Covid-19 Policy

We take the safety of our guests very seriously, which means that we have followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, have a Risk Assessment in place and a process to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.
UPDATE:As Coronovirus or it’s variants are still with us, we will continue to practise safe guidelines and will respect anyone’s need to continue to wear a mask. (see below)

  • Breakfast is served in a basket and delivered to your room for in-room dining.
  • All surfaces and touchpoints will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each stay. The general areas of the house will continue to be cleaned daily to the required standards.
  • Hand sanitiser is available for guest use in the hall on arrival at Maple House and in your room.
  • We will inform you immediately if anyone at Maple House has had to self-isolate within 2 weeks of your arrival date.
  • We are asking all guests to contact us up to two weeks after their stay if they have had to self-isolate so that we can manage communications to anyone who has a future booking.
  • To facilitate contact tracing, we will ask all guests to complete the guest registration form on arrival. We will retain your contact details on our booking database in line with government requirements.

During your stay

If you need assistance with luggage please let us know on arrival and we will help you with it in a safe way.
Breakfast is served in a wicker basket outside your room in the time slot you request. When you have finished your breakfast, please leave the napkins, crockery, cutlery etc in the basket and place out on the landing to be collected.

We would ask that you remain flexible regarding housekeeping and we will not be servicing your room during your stay but do let us know if you need any replacement tea/coffee sachets etc. Also please inform us if you have any spillages or need any other towels etc and we will deal with that when you are out of the room.

You will have access to plentiful supplies of handwash and hand sanitiser in your room.

We will no longer wear a mask during check in (unless requested) nor if we have to go into your room during your stay (to collect rubbish etc).

After your stay

After you leave, please let us know immediately if you have to self-isolate within 2 weeks of leaving. This will enable us to manage communications with contact tracers.

Cancellation and Curtailment

If you come and stay with us here at Maple House but decide to cut your stay short due to coronavirus concerns, unfortunately we will be unable to refund your room rate for any nights you are unable to stay.
As per our standard Terms and Conditions, we would always advise that you take out travel insurance if you are concerned that you may need to cancel.
If you have any questions regarding our COVID-19 procedures, please do not hesitate to contact us on 07837 928045 or info@maplehousehay.co.uk
