Weekly Markets

Thursday Market
Trading for over 700 years, Hay Market Day is a vibrant local market held in the centre of Hay-on-Wye every Thursday, 8am to mid-afternoon. With over 40 stalls offering a diverse range of items, from food to woolly socks, there is something for everyone. Many say it is “the best day in Hay!” so, come to visit, come to socialise, come to eat, come to shop, and, most of all, come to enjoy!

Hay Market Day has stalls in Memorial Square, Cheese Market, Butter Market and around the Clock Tower.

Saturday Local Produce and Artisan Market
Held 9am-5pm every Saturday throughout the year in the Hay Cheese Market. The Saturday Local Produce and Artisan Market offers delicious homemade pastries, cakes, treats and artisan bread, African rugs and baskets, organic Hay-grown vegetables, local goats cheese and kimchi, plant dyed handspun yarns and woollen items and handmade silver and semi precious stone jewellery.

Friday Vintage Market
Held every Friday from March through to October, 9am to 5pm, in the Cheese Market (off Memorial Square). The Friday Vintage market is a dedicated group of vintage specialists selling a range of vintage clothing, from 1950’s tea dresses to Converse footwear, to vintage accessories, collectibles and homeware.
